Punch trees to gather 10 Wood

Your very first action. Punch tree trunks until you have at least 10 wood.

Pick up 15 Stone from the ground

Loose stones are scattered everywhere. No tool needed — just walk over them.

Open your crafting menu and build a Workbench

This is your most important first build. Everything else unlocks from here.

Craft a Stone Axe at the Workbench

Doubles your wood-gathering speed. Never play without one.

Craft a Stone Pickaxe at the Workbench

Required to mine ore. You'll need this for iron and copper deposits.

Gather 15 Fiber from tall grass

Used for climbing gear and bio-resin later. Gather while exploring.

Find and mine 6 Iron Ore

Look for reddish-brown rock outcroppings. Use your Stone Pickaxe.

Craft 4 Wood Planks

You'll need these for the Storage Crate and Water Collector.

Build a Furnace

Unlocks smelting. Place it near your Workbench.

Smelt your first Iron Ingots

Uses logs as fuel — no charcoal needed. Make at least 4 ingots.

Build a Storage Crate

You'll run out of inventory fast. Build 2-3 of these near your base.

Build a Water Collector

Passive rain collection. Place it in an open area away from tree cover.

Find Copper Ore and mine at least 6

Copper looks orange-brown in rock faces. Often near Iron deposits.

Smelt Copper Ingots and craft Copper Wire

Wire is needed for almost every mid-game recipe. Make at least 10.

Build a Research Bench

Requires a Crystal Shard — explore caves or deep rock to find them.

Complete your first Research — Basic Engineering

Use Knowledge Fragments found in ruins. Unlocks the Forge blueprint.

Build a Forge

Required for Steel Plates and wind turbine construction.

Smelt your first Steel Plate

Requires the Metallurgy research unlock. Steel is needed for the Fabricator.

Craft and place your first Wind Turbine

Place on high ground for best output. Your first power source unlocks many new recipes.

Build Power Cables from the turbine to your base

Use a Copper Wrench to connect cables. Each segment covers 5 tiles.
